 | Evan Shields graduated from Franklin College in 2010. He was born and raised in Ottawa, Ill. He is a journalism-news editorial and journalism-public relations double major. He also has a minor in leadership. Evan served as the opinion editor for The Franklin. He wrote columns and editorials for the opinion pages. He has previously served as the online and the sports editor. He has written for two other newspapers: The Times in Ottawa, Ill. and The Evansville Courier and Press, in Evansville, Ind. He also worked in the Statehouse Bureau for the Courier & Press. Evan won a Pulliam Fellowship and worked at The Indianapolis Star immediately after graduation.
