All-HCAC golfers lead Grizzlies
men's golf finishes second in HCAC

The Franklin men’s golf team finished second to Transylvania University at the HCAC Championship last weekend. The Grizzlies’ final team score in the span of four days was a 1270, 118 over par. Transylvania scored 1233 for their third consecutive conference title.
Sophomore Eric Whitaker led the Grizzlies with a 309, finishing third overall at 21 over par. Junior Justin Ridge finished fourth with a 309, 23 over par.
Whitaker and Ridge were named All-HCAC for their efforts for the second and third time, respectively.
Junior Matt Payne finished 17th and freshman Josh Ross finished 21st with 331 and 334, respectively. Sophomore Kyle Dell scored 337 to come in 22nd.
“We cannot count on Transy getting worse,” wrote head coach Richard Park. “We must get better.”
