Three-game win streak for Grizzlies
Franklin downed Mount Mary, 92-65

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin Grizzlies finished defeated Mount Mary 92-65 at the Spurlock Center. The win gives them a 5-3 record (2-1 HCAC). The Blue Angels from Milwaukee fall to (3-5).
The Grizzlies finished the first half with a 16 point lead, 46-30. The women shot 40 percent from the field on 18-of-44 shooting. The Blue Angels shot 35 percent on 12-of-34 from the field and 2-of-5 from behind the three-point line. The Grizzlies put up 13 three balls and managed to make 5 or 39 percent. Both teams had six free throws with the Grizzlies sinking 5 and the Angels four.
Freshman Monica Schwab led the team with 15 points, all three-pointers. Junior Heather Harper grabbed eight rebounds, five of which were offensive. The Grizzlies out-rebounded the Blue Angels 32-19 with 16 rebounds apiece on the offensive glass and defensive.
Freshman Sabrina Diaz and sophomore Jordan Olsey both posted 12 points each with Olsey also grabbing six rebounds to lead the Blue Angels.
In the second half the lead got stretched to 34 points and the Grizzlies ended the game with a 27-point cushion.
The Grizzlies finished the game shooting 43 percent on 34-of-80 from the field. The Grizzlies stayed consistent shooting 38 percent from behind the three point line on 8-of-21 on the day, and 80 percent on 16-of-20 from the free throw line.
The Blue Angels shot 38 percent on the day on 37-of-72 shooting. The Blue Angels also shot 30 percent from behind the three-point line and 70 percent on free throws.
Junior Traci Lippold led the four players in double figures with 18 points. Schwab added 16, sophomore Brittany Wilson added 12 and Harper put up 11. Every Grizzly scored. Harper recorded a double-double also pulling down 12 rebounds, seven being offensive. The Grizzlies dominated the Angels on the boards 56-39, 27-17 on the offensive glass and 29-22 on the defensive end. Sophomore Jennifer Kelly led the team with 5 of the teams 15 assists.
The Blue Angels were led by Olsey, with a game-high 30 points, followed by Diaz with 18 and sophomore Ashley O’Brien with 12 points. Olsey nearly had a double-double with 9 rebounds as well as O’Brien with 8 rebounds.
The Grizzlies will travel to North Central College to take on the Cardinals in a 5 p.m. CST tipoff on Thursday.
