Top Obama surrogates on campus for foreign policy forum Monday
Two high-ranking surrogates for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will visit Franklin College on Monday for a foreign policy forum.
Susan Rice, who is one of Obama's top foreign policy advisers, and former U.S. Rep. Tim Roemer, D-Ind., will appear 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. Monday in the Henderson Conference Room, on the second floor of the Johnson Center for Fine Arts.
Rice was assistant secretary of state for African affairs in the Clinton administration and is currently on leave from her post at the Brookings Institution. Roemer, a six-term Congressman from South Bend, was a member of the 9/11 Commission.
John Krull, the director of the Pulliam School of Journalism at Franklin College, will moderate the discussion. Krull is also an adviser for The Franklin and TheFranklinOnline.com.
The Indiana Campaign for Change, an arm of Obama for America and the Indiana Democratic Party, organized the event.
