Shock jock Howard Stern, Ostrosky tie know in NYC
Shock jock Howard Stern has embraced tradition. The radio talk show host known for hosting porn stars married his longtime girlfriend, Beth Ostrosky, on Friday.
"I can't wait to marry Howard," she told Newsday before the ceremony at Manhattan's tony Le Cirque restaurant, adding, "I know, everyone laughs!"
The bride wore a white chiffon gown with cutaway back and sides. Officiating at the ceremony was actor Mark Consuelos, Kelly Ripa's husband and an ordained minister.
The 180 guests included Joan Rivers, Barbara Walters, Billy Joel, Steve Schirripa, Chevy Chase, Tommy Mottola, and Donald and Melania Trump.
They dined on tuna tataki, scrambled eggs with white truffles and striped bass with caviar — washed down with wine and champagne. Songwriter Phoebe Snow serenaded the newlyweds with "You Send Me," and Joel crooned "The Stranger."
The wedding is an about-face for the media maverick, who once worried on the air that marriage to the model could spoil a good thing.
"It's a nice feeling that we get along great," he said in 2006. "We're very happy, and I don't want to (blank) it up."
But he took the plunge anyway.
Stern told listeners he surprised Ostrosky with an engagement ring in February 2007 — while they were naked in bed.
During his first marriage, he boasted of his fidelity while hosting strippers and porn stars on his show.
Stern and his wife of 21 years, Alison Berns, had three daughters before divorcing in 2001. Their romance inspired his film "Private Parts."
Lohan's estranged father to jump into boxing ring
Michael Lohan isn't the type to back down from a fight.
The estranged father of Lindsay Lohan has publicly feuded with the actress, her girlfriend Samantha Ronson and her mother Dina Lohan.
For his next battle, Lohan will use his fists rather than his mouth: He's auctioning off the chance to knock him out in a charity boxing match Nov. 24 at the Hilton Long Island in Melville, N.Y.
Bidding to challenge Lohan begins at $5,000. Proceeds will go to charities including the Long Island Community Chest, which provides financial support to needy families.
Jeff Cohen, an organizer for the event, said he expects a big turnout.
"Anybody who jumps into the ring with Michael Lohan will become famous," Cohen said. "Maybe you'll get one of Lindsay Lohan's ex-boyfriends who'll try and impress Lindsay by beating up her father. Who knows? ... You might get Samantha Ronson trying to put a bid in there."
David Duchovny checks out of sex addiction rehab
An attorney for David Duchovny says the actor has checked out of a rehabilitation facility for treatment of sex addiction.
Duchovny, who plays a sex-obsessed character on Showtime's "Californication," voluntarily entered the facility in late August.
Says lawyer Stanton Stein: "David has successfully completed his rehabilitation, he is out of rehab and will be starting a movie soon."
Duchovny starred as the conspiracy-minded Fox Mulder on "The X-Files" TV series and in two films.
The 48-year-old actor and his wife, actress Tea Leoni, have two children. The couple married in 1997.
