Opinion: Obama victim to scandal but supported for president.
By Isaac Daniel, March 21, 2008
It’s an interesting world outside Franklin College today. Three employees contracted by the State Department stuck their nose in Barack Obama’s passport files. This has happened three times, January 9, February 21 and March 14, and it seems Obama had no idea what was going on until Thursday morning.
This happened to Bill Clinton in 1992 during his campaign against the former president, George H.W. Bush. A FBI investigation showed that the president knew about the illegal actions but established no actions to resolve the situation. The reason Clinton’s passports were being sifted through illegally was to see if he had ever denounced himself as a citizen of the United States.
Now this happens to Obama under George W. Bush’s administration—like father like son?
The importance of Obama’s passport is that it would show a list of every country Obama’s ever been and how long he stayed—perhaps an Islam nation?
But after Obama’s speech he gave Tuesday asking Americans to heal racial relations it looks like he can handle anything Republicans and his fellow Democrats can throw at him. Honestly, this is by far one of the best speeches given in the history of campaigns.
The speech was so well written and spoken that it caused Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico to announce his endorsement of Obama.
Nearly everyone, even Saturday Night Live, thought Richardson would endorse Sen. Hillary Clinton for president.
Richardson, the only Hispanic governor in the nation, e-mailed his supporters that he was inspired by his speech on race and that Obama, “understands clearly that only by bringing people together, only by bridging our differences can we all succeed together as Americans.”
This is a slap in the face for Hillary.
Richardson wouldn’t be governor if he hadn’t been the energy secretary in the Clinton administration.
Bill "bumped" Richardson. Richardson’s "bumping" Obama. So…does that mean Bill is "bumping" Obama?
